Talk Abstract
The purpose of this project is to represent mathematical summations and recurrence relations, visualizing the sum by generating a work of art. This project was inspired by recurrent complex patterns in both art and nature. Simple manipulations of famous recurrence relations, such as the Fibonacci sequence, are programed in Java, creating a broad variety of artistic designs. The result of this project is a beautiful demonstration of the intimate relationship between math and art.
